Brush collection starts May 19

The Town of Amherst's annual spring brush pickup will begin on May 19.

The town will collect large piles of logs, brush and tree stumps only. All material must be placed out at the start of that week. No mixed piles containing lumber, concrete, railroad ties or nonorganic materials will be collected.

Leaves, small trimmings and other yard waste should be put in containers, paper yard waste bags or bundled for collection by Waste Management on a weekly basis.
