Task Force plans meeting on underage drinking

The Amherst Task Force for Healthy Community * Healthy Youth is one of hundreds of organizations nationwide that will hold a town meeting on underage drinking from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the auditorium at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Road.

The meeting will be held to discuss and raise awareness about the issue of underage drinking. Panel members will be present to answer questions and address the impact that underage drinking has on the community.

There will also be three student representatives from town high schools.

The most recent results of the Search Institute Survey of Attitudes and Behaviors will also be presented as part of the discussion.

The town meeting is made possible through collaboration with the federal government's Interagency Coordinating Committee for the Prevention of Underage Drinking. Call 631-7215.
