Kindzia leaves Fredonia State hoops as school's all-time points, rebound leader

Williamsville North graduate and Williamsville resident Cheryl Kindzia closed out her four-year collegiate career for Fredonia State College by becoming the school's all-time leading scorer (1,370 points) and rebounder (852 rebounds).
Kindzia also has been chosen to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference first team for the second time.
Kindzia led the SUNYAC this past season with 9.9 rebounds per game. In addition, her 17.7 per game scoring average was third in the conference. She was first in defensive rebounds (seven per game), sixth in field goal accuracy (47.5 percent), 11th in free throw accuracy (75.4 percent), 12th in steals (1.92 per game), sixth in blocked shots (1.21 per game), and second in minutes played (35.54 per game).
Kindzia was previously chosen to the SUNYAC first team after the 2005-06 season and was a second team choice in her junior year.
In Kindzia's final game, she posted her 14th-career double double of the season (18 points, 13 rebounds) as the Devils beat Morrisville State, 69-36.
