Team Littman wins youth hoops crown

Team Littman won the Amherst Youth Basketball high school boys younger division championship. Team Littman beat Team Grossman, 28-21, to win the Amherst Youth Basketball high school boys younger division championship.

Jamie Sperrazo and Chris Schnabel were the leading scorers with 10 points each. The whole team used strong defense to win.

Other scorers were Shane McKay (seven) and Nate Joseph (two).

Team Littman beat Team Kammerlein, 46-29, in the first round. Leading scorers were Joseph (12) and Schnabel (10).

Also scoring were Charles Jordan (three), McKay (nine), Mike Stellrecht (four), Sperrazo (six) and Mackie Gage (two).

Tough defense and great ball handling were also shown in both games by Ezra Littman and Nate Hess.
