Materise, Flanagan compete at Level 7 state finals

Ashely Materise (Amherst) and Callie Flanagan (Lancaster) competed in the 13-year-old session of the Level 7 New York State Gymnastics Championships.

Competing against 47 of the best 13-year-olds in the state, Materise posted solid scores, including an 8.50 on the beam that ranked 24th. Flanagan also had a great day on beam, earning a 9.025 for 10th. Additionally, a strong vault from Flanagan scored a 9.00 and placed 13th.

Both girls are Level 7 gymnasts at Stumpf's Gymnastics Center in Williamsville.
