Forever Young's Health & Living Expo returns to Amherst on April 23

Join Forever Young at Classics V Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., in Amherst, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, for the Health & Living Expo.

This free event features experts from throughout the region specializing in goods and services geared toward those 50 years and older, along with free health screenings, contests, product giveaways and prizes.

Forever Young, the area's longest-running publication devoted to the interests and concerns of Western New Yorkers 50 and older, has brought together more than 50 vendors (including health care providers, service agencies, financial advisers and an assortment of other locally based companies and organizations) to offer useful tips and resources to enhance the lives of men and women in this target age group.

The free health screenings include peripheral arterial disease, blood pressure, bone density, body mass index, hearing and risk factor survey.

At 9 a.m., the first 500 people through the door receive a free New York State scratch-off lottery ticket. Starting at 11 a.m., the first 150 through the door receive a lunch voucher for Anderson's (roast beef sandwich, fries and a soft drink). At noon, one of the first 150 through the door receive a $1 discount coupon for a hot dog at Ted's. Free coffee will also be provided all day from Dunkin' Donuts.
