Jill S. Ebersole and Thomas E. Meredith

Phyllis and Ray Ebersole of North Collins and Boca Raton, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Suzanne Ebersole, to Thomas Ellis Meredith, son of Elizabeth Meredith of West Seneca and the late Bryan J. (Jim) Meredith.

Miss Ebersole graduated from North Collins Central High School in 1996. She received a degree in communications from Fredonia State College in 1999. She is a New York State insurance investigator.

Her fiance graduated from Bishop Timon High School in 1989. He received a degree in sociology from Buffalo State College in 1993. He is an Erie County Sheriff's deputy. He has been awarded the 2007 National Deputy of the Year Award, the 2007 NYS Deputy of the Year Award, the 2007 Erie County Deputy of the Year Award and the 2007 Buffalo 100 Heroes Award.

An October 2008 wedding is planned at St. John Vianney Church in Orchard Park.
