to hold public speaking program

Having trouble speaking in public? Do you deal with a lot of people? The Speak for Success club of Toastmasters International is holding an open house from 11:55 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in the auditorium of Calspan Corporation, 445 Genesee St., Cheektowaga, across from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport entrance. Speak for Success aims to rid people of public speaking fears and learn skills that will help them become more successful. Buffalo Niagara Partnership plans

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is holding Networking With a Twist, a way for business professionals to meet and generate business leads. The event will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst. The theme for the event is beach party, and business casual dress is requested. Attendance costs $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers if they reserve their spot online. Reservations are encouraged but not required, as a $20 admission fee will be charged to those who don't register. The Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives will host a dinner event with featured speaker Demaree Poole, president at Dream- BigCreativity, beginning with a cocktail hour at 5:15 p.m. and the dinner at 6:15 p.m. Monday, April 28, at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott Hotel, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst.
