Turner helps OP Gymsters place second

Orchard Park Gymsters fared well at the Lucky Stars Gymnastics Invitational held in Jamestown, N.Y. March 13-16.

Over 750 gymnasts participated with clubs from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Canada.

Amherst resident Carrissa Turner won the gold medal on vault (9.45) and floor exercise (9.375).

She also medaled on bars (eighth) and went seventh in the all-around to help her team to a second place Level 6 banner. Turner trains at Gymnastics Unlimited.
