Francis P. Preve, retired Bell Aerospace worker

Francis P. Preve, 95, formerly of Williamsville, died at his home in Port Charlotte, Fla., on Friday, March 21, 2008.

Mr. Preve graduated from the University of Illinois as an electrical engineer. He worked for Bell Aerospace for 31 years and retired as director of technical and administrative services in 1976.

He was a member of the SS. Peter & Paul Church in Williamsville; the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree; and the Holy Name Society. He also belonged to the Bell Aerospace Century Club and the Elks.

Mr. Preve retired to North Port Fla., in 1977 where he lived until 1997, when he moved to Port Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eleonor; son, Francis of Grand Island; daughter, Suzanne Bhattacharyia of Virginia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were made and internment was in Port Charlotte.
