Children's Hospital names speech director

Dr. Ernesto Diaz-Ordaz has been appointed director of speech and otology at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

The Clarence resident is an alumnus of the Universidad La Salle in Mexico, where he completed his graduate medical training in surgery, otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. His postgraduate work includes training at the Michigan Ear Institute, and specializing in neuro-otology and skull base surgery.

Since 2002, Diaz-Ordaz has held his own practice in otolaryngology, neuro-otology and skull base surgery in Williamsville.

Diaz-Ordaz is also clinical assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University at Buffalo and is adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Communicative Disorders and Sciences Department.

Diaz-Ordaz is a former president of the Buffalo Otolaryngological Society.
