Abide by 'pooper scooper' law

I walk quite frequently in the Deer Run/Roxbury/Paradise area and notice an awful lot of dog feces left behind by dogs and their owners.

Apparently, these dog owners (you know who you are) feel that the world is their personal dumping ground. It doesn't take much thought to remember to bring along a couple of plastic grocery bags when you walk your dog (for those wondering, the bags are for picking up after the dog goes to the bathroom).

Perhaps some enforcement needs to be considered; I believe there is a 'pooper scooper" law. Seeing dog waste lying all over such a nice neighborhood is really disgusting and doesn't say much for how the people there feel about their neighbors. A little consideration goes a long way; how about taking responsibility for your dog and showing a good example for young people?
