Barefoot in the Opera House

The Lancaster Opera House is presenting Neil Simon's romantic comedy classic of love and marriage, "Barefoot in the Park," from April 4-13.

Newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter have just moved into their tiny apartment in a downtown-Manhattan brownstone, where they encounter a skylight with a hole in it, a lack of heat and several long flights of stairs.

The lives of Corie, a free-spirited wife, and Peter, a serious young lawyer, get complicated by an eccentric upstairs neighbor who keeps climbing in their window and an unexpected visit from Corie's mother.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12; 2:30 p.m. April 6 and 13; and 2 p.m. April 10 at the Lancaster Opera House, 21 Central Ave.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors and students, and are available by calling 683-1776 or by visiting www.lancopera.org. Group rates are also available by calling 683-3032.
