HOME celebrates

anniversary with

meeting, dinner

Housing Opportunities Made Equal will celebrate its 45th anniversary with its annual meeting and dinner at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at the Buffalo-Niagara Convention Center. The theme for the evening is "Reflecting on the past, envisioning the future." The event will begin with a cocktail hour and gift basket raffle featuring more than 30 baskets and a silent auction. Dinner and other festivities, including a chance to view the children's artwork "From My House to Yours: Children's Views on Fair Housing," will begin at 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the event range from $50 to $550 and can be purchased until April 11. JA seeks entrepreneurship

volunteers

Junior Achievement of Western New York Inc. is seeking volunteers to teach its financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work-readiness programs to area youth. JA provides all of the materials and an orientation session, while the volunteers provide real world experience to eager young minds. Volunteers are needed for kindergarten through 12th grade throughout Western New York in both city and suburban schools. JA currently needs volunteers in the Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Clarence, Frontier, Niagara Falls, West Seneca and Williamsville school districts. Business' tour

set for April 10

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership will hold a stop on its Manufacturer's Council's "Growing the Business" tour from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at Honeywell, 20 Peabody St., Buffalo. Honeywell is a diversified manufacturing and technology company. Site leader Jay Kelly will share how Honeywell is growing its business.
