Deaths

BABCOCK, Verna J., died Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She is predeceased by husband, Newhall; son, Richard. Mrs. Babcock is survived by son, Harry; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services were held Saturday, March 22 at Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home Inc.

DIEFENBACH, Mary S., 98, of Amherst, died Friday, March 21, 2008. She is survived by daughter, Carol Nunes. Funeral services are private. Arrangements are by the Harry A. Wedekindt Funeral Home Inc.

LADE, Bonnie E., 88, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward. Mrs. Lade is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Sharkey, Linda Christopher and Barbara Jeziorski; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Reed and Margaret Wright; and brothers, D.W. Jr. and Michael Wise. Services were held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Amigone Funeral Home Inc.
