The Women's Business Enterprise National Council has honored Lynne Marie Finn, president of Superior Staff Resources Inc. in Williamsville, as one of 14 Shining Stars at its annual Salute to Women's Business Enterprises: The Power of Progress.
Sponsored by Microsoft, the black-tie event was held March 20 in Washington, D.C., before 1,200 guests.
The event "pays tribute to 14 outstanding certified women business owners and their passion, talent and creativity."
The organization believes that putting the spotlight on the professional journey of its honorees can inspire women's business enterprises worldwide.
Finn, who represented the Women Presidents' Educational Organization - one of 14 regional affiliates of WBENC, was honored for her leadership in her community and her active involvement in WBENC and WPEO.
Staff Resources Inc. is one of the largest woman-owned workforce solutions companies in the United States.
"It is an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious group," she said. "Superior's WBENC certification has been beneficial to us in many ways, by providing access to companies that use our services and through the wonderful friendships I have developed with other female business owners across the country."
