Union College defeated Cornell, 3-2, on Sunday in the Amherst Girls Development championship.
Union's Sarah O'Brien and Emily Beauchamp (Corinne Shanahan) scored in the first period.
Cornell's Missy Mallon and Cassandra Hopkins tied it up in the second. Beauchamp (O'Brien) scored short-handed with 15 seconds remaining in the second.
Cornell's Lindsey Baldwin, Laura Finley, Helena Galvin, Carolyn Hopkins, Madeline Marsack, Quinn Patrick, Nadine Pizzuto, Emily Saint, Jane Truesdell, Katherine Wahlgren, Emily Woods, and Amanda Woods worked hard.
Union's defense of Amanda Burns, Rachel Farr, Emily Keable and Margaret Mugel played strong.
Excellent offense was displayed by Union's Emma Hubert, Alicia Oswald, MacKenzie Pautler, Paige Pautler, Miranda Podlas, Becca Searns and Brianna Stressinger.

Miranda Podlas and Emily Beauchamp scored hat tricks.
Beauchamp had a natural hat trick as she scored the third through fifth goals. Union's Becca Searns scored her first of the season with a great celebration on the ice. Assisting on the goals were Brianna Stressinger, Becca Searns, Sarah O'Brien, Emily Beauchamp and Alicia Oswald with three assists. Goalie Abby Posner tallied a shutout. Rachel Farr and Amanda Burns made stellar defensive moves.
Despite the score, goalie Patrina Sciandra of Clarkson made some stellar saves.
