CCA girls win CTK tournament

Christian Central Academy's sixth-grade girls basketball team defeated Christ The King, 25-24, in the finals of the Christ the King 31st annual Invitational Basketball Tournament. Christian Central Academy's sixth-grade girls basketball team defeated Christ The King, 25-24, to win the Christ the King 31st annual Invitational Basketball Tournament.

CTK took an early 4-0 lead but CCA got baskets in the second quarter by Sydney Malcolm, Hailey Rose Gattuso and Caroline Ranallo.

In the second half, CTK cut the lead to two. CCA battled with great defense by Young, Lauren Torrisi and Abby Narbe.

CCA cut the lead to one with two minutes remaining and one with 30 seconds. Ranallo hit a clutch runner with 25 seconds.

The Crusaders (11-7) were led by Malcolm (12 points) and Ranallo (10 points).
