St. Benedict's sixth-grade boys win league championship

The St. Benedict's sixth-grade boys basketball team defeated Christ the King, 21-13, to win the Bishop Kmiec sixth-grade league championship. The St. Benedict's sixth-grade boys basketball team defeated Christ the King, 21-13, to win the Bishop Kmiec sixth-grade league championship.

In the fourth quarter, St. Benedict's turned up the defense. Sean Klute, PJ Anders, Evan Hall and Brendan Cryan recorded steals and critical rebounds.

CTK's Patrick Murray and Patrick Gramza scored baskets. Later, St. Benedict's Colin Tenney scored six of his 10 points to put the game out of reach. Tyler Bolden and Evan Murphy provided solid defensive minutes.

Tenney (11), Joey Insalaco (six), and Pat MacDonald (four) led St. Benedict's.

Max Kreuz (six) and Adam Killeen (three) paced CTK.
