Union College rebounds, edges Clarkson

Union College came away with a 3-2 win over Clarkson on Sunday.

Union went up 2-0 in the first with a goal from Emma Hubert (Mackenzie Pautler) and Emily Keable.

Clarkson came back in the second with a goal from Michelle Cronin and Juliet Holme.

With the score tied, both teams picked up the pressure. Union's Mackenzie Pautler would put in the game-winner in the third.

Union's Sarah O'Brien, Emily Beauchamp, Amanda Burns and Alicia Oswald played tough. Clarkson's goalie Patrina Sciandra kept them in the game.

Clarkson's Marissa Caggiano and Melissa Suzynski had great games as well.

Cornell 1, Union College 0

There was no scoring until 3:48 left in the third period when Jane Truesdell of Cornell beat Union's goaltender Abbey Posner.

Union's Miranda Podlas had several scoring chances, but Cornell's netminder Anna Quattro was too good.

It was Union's first loss of the season.
