Night of the Tough Guys' to toast Rob Ray

Former Buffalo Sabre Rob Ray will be in the spotlight when Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant hosts "Night of the Tough Guys on Tuesday, March 18.

The event will honor some of the toughest guys in Buffalo Sports history, with a special toast to Ray.

Joining Ray with their tough stories that made them legends will be former Sabres Larry Playfair and Matthew Barnaby, former Buffalo Bills Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Steve Tasker, boxers Carmen Basilio and Joe Mesi and wreslters Billy Red Lyons, Dominic De Nucci, Angelo Mosca and Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer.

Tickets for the event, which includes cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the program at 8 p.m., cost $40. There are a limited number of tickets available to the general public by reservation only. There will be no tickets sales at the door.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund.
