Computer, not sauce, overheats at eatery

Friday, Feb. 29
• A suspicious woman in a big fur coat and winter hat was reportedly walking in the middle of traffic on Sheridan Drive.
• A hang-up 911 call was placed from a Promenade Lane address. A woman said her daughter panicked and called the emergency number because the dog was lost. All was OK.
Saturday, March 1
• An alarm was set off at Buffalo Wild Wings on Niagara Falls Boulevard because a computer overheated.
• Six cars reportedly had their tires slashed on South Union Road.
• Police were called about a man who was supposed to be house sitting on Sundridge Drive and was either intoxicated or on drugs and damaged the homeowner's car and garage door.
Sunday, March 2
• A mother was attempting to locate her daughter and learned the daughter had been arrested by Buffalo Police and was in the Erie County Holding Center.
• Police were called to Windermere Elementary School where teens were building a snowman at the platform to the entrance of the school, and the complainant was concerned pupils wouldn't be able to get in. Police reported no hazard; the snowman wasn't interfering with the doors.
• A Burroughs Drive resident reported that a bat was in the house, and he was given instructions on how to handle the situation from a Health Department flier.
Monday, March 3
• A man was complaining in the office of North High School on Hopkins Road about a student who persistently parked illegally. One tag was issued.
• On Spindrift Court, a resident was having a car towed when it fell off the tow truck and damaged the resident's garage.
• Police were called about an unwelcome guest at a Main Street inn. The man in question was wearing a maroon suit with a matching hat and was in the basement, refusing to leave. He then went in a closet.
Tuesday, March 4
• A Longmeadow Road man complained to police that two females of his acquaintance took his keys and said they wouldn't give them back until he gave them $50.
• Police were called to a wooded area on Renaissance Drive about a naked woman and a man in camouflage clothing. Everyone had clothes on, and the woman was wearing a light colored dress. All were advised.
• A shipping business on Main Street reported receiving a package that smelled like marijuana, and the person to whom the package was addressed had called with strange questions but hadn't arrived to pick it up.
Wednesday, March 5
• A Lakewood Parkway resident reported that a neighbor was out pounding on the ice, waking up the complainant. Police reported that the complaint was totally unfounded and was unable to follow up with the complainant.
• Police responded to Telfair Drive where a teen and his girlfriend were walking down the street followed by the boy's father, who wanted the boy to go home, but he was refusing to get in the car. The father then asked police for advice on another matter.
• A homeowner was advised and cleaned up the snow that he had blown into Sunrise Boulevard.
Thursday, March 6 • Police were called to a restaurant on Niagara Falls Boulevard where a woman left in a pale blue Mazda without paying her bill - $8.13.
• Youths were playing hockey in the street on Vine Lane, and a bus driver complained that they hit the school bus with a hockey stick. The bus was gone on arrival, and the area checked.
• Police were called to a business on Transit Road where a man was swearing and spitting at customers. Also, he was reportedly taking bottles from the trash and drinking from them. He was gone when the patrol arrived.
