John S. Robinson, Sr., 49, of East Amherst died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at his home.

Robinson

Mr. Robinson worked 20 years as a U.S. marshal, 23 years as a federal law officer. He was a U.S. deputy marshal and a senior inspector for the Western New York District.

He attended Amherst High School, Fredonia State College, the U.S. Border Patrol Academy and U.S. Marshal Academy.

Mr. Robinson was a member of the Lancaster Presbyterian Church and was a Presbyterian elder.

He is survived by his wife, Brigitte; his sons, John Jr. and Christopher; his parents, Jean and Sidney; his sisters, Barbara Hillegas and Kathleen Skinner; his brother, James; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8 at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church by the Amigone Funeral Home.
