Micaela Lumsden and Matthew Lauer

Patricia Adkins-Lumsden of East Amherst and Kenneth Lumsden of Williamsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Micaela Lumsden, to Matthew Lauer, son of Barbara Lauer of Williamsville and the late James Lauer.

Miss Lumsden graduated from Williamsville North High School in 2001. She received a master's degree in social work from the University at Buffalo in 2007. She works as a social worker at Corners Children's Center, a program within Child and Family Services.

Her fiance graduated from Clarence High School in 1999. He received a bachelor's degree in childhood education from Buffalo State College in 2004. He is a sixth-grade teacher at Clarence Middle School.

A November 2008 wedding is planned.
