David Potempa and Christina Chapman

June Chapman of Ellicottville announces the engagement of her daughter, Christina Chapman, to David Potempa, son of Elizabeth Potempa of West Seneca and the late Donald Potempa. Miss Chapman is the daughter of the late Donald Chapman.

Miss Chapman graduated from Ellicottville Central High School in 1996. She received a master's degree in social work from the University at Buffalo in 2007. She is a social worker and a member of Erie County Coalition Against Family Violence.

Her fiance graduated from West Seneca East High School in 1989. He studied in a New York State Apprenticeship Program and is a journeyman tool & die maker.

An October 2008 wedding is planned.
