Meetings Arts funding proposals sought The Coalition of Arts Providers for Children Inc. requests funding proposals for arts in education residencies within schools in Erie and Niagara counties on behalf of the New York State Council for the Arts. The entry-level minigrants partner artists with classroom teachers to make a difference in the educational and artistic lives of students. The submission deadline is Thursday, May 15. The program, art$tart wny, grants up to $2,500 for any school to provide artist residencies. Applicants for the program can be schools, individual teaching artists, or a cultural organization in Erie or Niagara counties. Graduate school open house set Niagara University will host a free graduate school open house at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5 in the new Academic Complex. A continental breakfast will be served. Prospective students will have an opportunity to learn more about NU's graduate programs in business administration, criminal justice, teacher education, counseling, educational leadership, and interdisciplinary studies. They will also be able to meet with faculty and learn about campus life. Tours of the campus will be available, and current graduate students will be on hand to answer questions.
