Catholic Charities names new CFO Catholic Charities has appointed Todd Humphrey, a certified public accountant, as its new chief financial officer. Dennis C. Walczyk, chief executive officer, and Rev. Joseph J. Sicari, diocesan director, tapped Humphrey, an East Amherst resident, to fill the vacancy created by the recent retirement of Terry McCann, who served in the position for nearly five years. Humphrey, whose appointment was effective Jan. 1, has more than 20 years of financial administration experience with nonprofit organizations in the Rochester-Buffalo areas and in Pennsylvania. He will be responsible for controlling about $30 million in agency funds in an environment of complex reporting to the multiple government agencies with which Catholic Charities contracts. Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Humphrey served as interim executive director for Cheltenham Center for the Arts in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he held positions of chief financial officer for Action for a Better Community Inc. and controller for the YMCA of Greater Rochester. He also has held various financial and audit posts with Bausch and Lomb, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rochester and Jerald J. Rotenberg & Co. CPAs. |
