Kuechle makes all-academic team

Williamsville North graduate and Getzville native Megan Kuechle, a sophomore at William Smith College, was one of nine members of the school's swimming and diving team to be selected to the New York Women's College Athletics Association All-Academic Team.

To earn a spot on the team, a student-athlete must compete in the NYSWCAA Championships, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 over the past two semesters, and be at least a sophomore academically.

Kuechle is a psychology major.

William Smith recently wrapped up its 2007-08 season at the NYSWCAA Championships, where it placed 13th out of 17 teams. The Herons finished the winter with a 4-2 dual-meet record.
