Stars hand Bruins first playoff loss

Pee Wee Star defensemen Ethan Sokolowski and Austin Maciok both scored with hard slap shots from the blue line to help the Stars defeat the Bruins, 3-1, in Sunday's playoff game.

Right winger Mark Christy added an insurance goal. All three Stars goals came in the second period.

The Bruins struck first 16 second into the first period to take the lead.

The Stars maintained their poise and played an all-around team game and fought back to win.

Star goalie Alec Jackson was solid between the pipes and center Trevor Shaw played an inspired game.
