Amherst FBLA students win at district competition

Eight members of Amherst High School's Future Business Leaders of America Club placed in seven of 10 possible events at the District FBLA Competitions held recently at Bryant & Stratton College.

The Amherst winners are: in impromptu speaking, first place, Harrison Singer; public speaking I, first place, Maria Manunta; accounting I, first place, Samuel Huoh, and second place, Scott Krajna; business law, second place, Maria Manunta; business communication, first place, Hao Qin; introduction to business, first place, Rebecca Keable, and third place, Danielle Miller; and marketing, first place, Amy Simon.

The students are hoping to compete at the FBLA State Leadership Conference to be held April 7-9 in Ellenville, NY.
