Scott Wegst and Jennifer Slazak

Deborah and Richard Slazak of West Seneca announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Slazak, to Scott Wegst, son of Karen and Donald Wegst of Lancaster.

Miss Slazak graduated from West Seneca West High School in 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Buffalo State College in 2006 and will receive a master's degree in psychology from Medaille College in August 2008. She is employed at Century Medical Associates in Williamsville.

Her fiance graduated from Lancaster High School in 2001. He received a degree in electrical engineering from Erie Community College in 2003 and is a systems technician with Johnson Controls. He is captain of the Central Hose Fire Company in Depew.

A June 2009 wedding is planned at St. John Kanty Church in Buffalo.
