Bisons fall to Lightning in postseason

The Buffalo Bisons Bantam Minor team fell to the Tonawanda Lightning, 5-1, at Riverside Park last Saturday.

Despite outshooting the Lightning, 25-17, the Bisons couldn't get good scoring chances.

A power-play goal near the end of the first period, then a goal on a penalty shot, plus two even strength goals, and the Bisons were down 4-0 before getting one back by David Arthur (Eric Adolf, Lucas Buscemi).

Conner Naughton tended the nets for Buffalo.

Tonawanda went on to defeat league leader Cazenovia, 2-1, in two overtimes, thus earning a championship spot next weekend against Webster, winners over Southtown Stars.
