Union College, Cornell skate to 3-3 tie

Union College and Cornell played to a 3-3 tie on Feb. 22.

Union opened the scoring in the first period on a nice pass from Sarah O'Brien to Miranda Podlas. Cornell came back in the second with a breakaway score from Missy Mallon.

Emily Beauchamp from Union made it 2-1 but, not to be outdone, Cornell's Casssandra Hopkins tied it up. Brianna Stressinger, from Sarah O'Brien, scored in the third to put Union on top. Cassandra Hopkins would put in another for Cornell to tie the game.

Backup Union goalie Corrine Shanahan was strong, as was Cornell goalie Anna Quattro.
