Edward F. Stillwell, 73, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 in his home.
Mr. Stillwell was a graduate of Amherst High School and served three years in the Marine Corps and 20 years with the New York State Police. He ended his law enforcement career as an investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations. He also earned a degree from Buffalo State College.
Mr. Stillwell joined the Buffalo Bills in 1986 as director of stadium operations. Two years later he was named director of administration. For seven years he was a top Bills administrator working closely with former general manager Bill Polian. He later worked with Polian while the two were with the Carolina Panthers.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth; three daughters, Sandra Stasiak, Sara Stoecki and Susan; son, Michael; and sister, Gail Schlau.
Services were held Saturday in St. Joseph University Church.
