Volunteers sought for legislator's office

Erie County Legislator Edward A. Rath III, R-15th District, is seeking volunteers to assist in his district office at 5500 Main St., in the Village of Williamsville during the week.

A number of office needs have been hampered by the budget crisis of 2005. Rath's office is looking for residents who could serve several hours a week in different capacities. Having a familiarity with Word, Excel and various office duties is a plus; however there are opportunities that do not involve a computer.

Additionally, students on early dismissal who need to complete either their community service hours or political hours for high school are welcome to inquire.

The office also has opportunities for nonpaid college internships for class credit.
