Katharine R. Striewing and Joseph M. Swierczynski

Marcy and Craig Striewing of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Katharine Rose Striewing, to Joseph Matthew Swierczynski, son of Sandra and Robert Swierczynski of Cheektowaga.

Miss Striewing graduated from Alden High School in 2004. She is attending Niagara University for a degree in secondary math education and will graduate in 2008. She works for Northtown Hyundai.

Her fiance graduated from Cheektowaga Central High School in 2002. He works at E & R Machines of Lockport. He is also the assistant coach for the Cheektowaga Warriors Squirt house hockey team.

A August 2009 wedding is planned at Town Line Lutheran Church.
