Michael Olear of Amherst, broker associate and team leader of the Olear Realty Group at MJ Peterson Real Estate, has received the designation of certified residential specialist from the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Dr. Frank J. Schlehr has received a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine. Schlehr has offices in Williamsville and Lockport.

Anna E. Kuechle has joined the mechanical engineering department of Trautman Associates, an architectural and engineering firm. Kuechle, who is a mechanical designer, is a Williamsville South graduate and recently earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics, honors program, from the University at Buffalo.

Hunt Real Estate ERA, 4363 Main St., west of Harlem Road Amherst, will host Steven Jacobson of EG Tax Service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6. He will speak about topics concerning real estate as they apply to federal and state income tax returns. The seminar is free; call 832-4838 to register.

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists granted the distinction of fellow to Dr. Anthony M. Lafornara, a practicing dentist in Getzville, during a gathering in Las Vegas on Feb. 8. This award was granted to Lafornara for the restoration and placement of dental implants. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and a diplomat of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Mark E. Celmer, has been named president of Williamsville-based Exigence North America, LLC. Celmer, who has nearly 35 years of experience in the medical and manufacturing industries, will have operational responsibilities for the day-to-day management of Exigence North America's 26 operating subsidiaries. These subsidiaries include Buffalo Emergency Associates, LLP, WNY Immediate Care, Pulse Occupational Medicine, Exigence Emergency Medical Services and the Exigence Hospitalist Program. Exigence is a clinical staffing and management company.
