(Editors note: The Bee's police blotter is a sampling of unusual, sometimes humorous calls received by the police department. It is not intended to be a complete record of all incidents reported.)

Thursday, Fe. 14

• A Ponderosa Drive resident complained to police that a 6-month-old cockapoo had been outside without shelter since 3 a.m. The dog was taken inside shortly after the complaint.

• A Garden Parkway resident called police to report that he wanted his girlfriend to leave because she had been intoxicated and had damaged property. She was asleep at the time he called police. He then decided he wanted her to stay.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

• On Kings Highway, a man reported that a male had been in the complainant's car, and now loose change and gloves were missing.

• A pharmacy employee on Main Street reported to police that a male walked out of the store and urinated on the front of the building.

• On Sweet Home Road, youths were reportedly on the second floor of a home, pointing a BB gun out the window. The incident was reported by a driver at the neighboring bus garage who claimed the youths were shooting at the buses.

• Police arrested a male and female for attempting to break into a room at a Niagara Falls Boulevard hotel.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

• A woman driving on Maple Road had her windshield broken when a plow, going over a bridge, pushed snow onto it.

• A Main Street business had its garbage bin taken.

• A Gatesborough Court resident reported that a squirrel was in the chimney. The complainant would call back when the animal came down.

Sunday, Feb. 10

• A Princeton Avenue resident complained that a girl he is dating would not leave the apartment, has been doing narcotics and was throwing things in the main hallway.

• An apartment in University Village at Sweet Home was broken into, and a Wii game system was taken.

• A complaint was made about a tenant in Lake Tree Village Apartments because the student has people coming and going all night and slamming doors.

• An accident was reported on Grover Cleveland Highway. The operator of the Jeep involved reportedly threw about three cases of beer into the roadway. A girl involved in the accident was concerned she may have swallowed glass.

• Police responded to Betina Avenue for a suspicious person report. They discovered an intoxicated male who said he was trying to open a door and fell into it. He was pointed in the direction of his home.

Saturday, Feb. 9

• Police were called to a hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard where a man complained he was trying to leave and his wife wouldn't let him. They were arguing about money.

• An East Chateau Terrace resident called police to report that a cell phone charger was missing. The item was located in the home.

Friday, Feb. 8

• Someone called about two males with flashlights behind the Clearfield Community Center. The caller said the males appeared to be putting graffiti on the building. The two were maintenance employees.

• A caller who refused to give her name complained about a loud party on Hendricks Boulevard that could possibly involve underage drinking and narcotics. The complaint was unfounded. The caller was an angry ex-girlfriend.

• A North Autumn Street resident complained that a neighbor was shoveling snow into the roadway - again.

• A woman reported that her 1-year-old son was locked in the car on Washington Highway, and he had the keys.
