STUDENTS HELP KIDS 'MAKE-A-WISH' - The Amherst High School Student Council recently donated $390 to Make-A-Wish Foundation after holding several fundraisers, including a "Kids Night Out" in December, a penny war among the grades and a Winterfest. The check was presented on Feb. 12 to Andrea Prinzbach, community relations manager for Make-A-Wish, pictured front row, center. Student Council members attending the check presentation are, from left, co-presidents Annise Celano and Diane Herzog, Secretary Ellie Poleon, Vice President Jeremy Jones and Treasurer Tyler Brown. Make-A-Wish was chosen after students were touched by the organization's heartwarming presentation at a conference last year.
