Sharks bowling takes fourth

The Sacred Heart girls bowling team finished fifth out of eight teams at All-Catholics last Tuesday at Thruway Lanes.

The Sharks knocked down 1,643 pins. Sacred Heart finished fourth in the regular season with a 31-25 record.

Senior co-captain Katie Salisbury earned All-Catholic First Team honors for having the third-highest average in the Monsignor Martin Association with a 178 average.

Salisbury also had the third highest scratch series in the league with a 584. Her high game was 218.

Junior co-captain Natalie Wasilewski finished with a 131 average and received a special pin for a 485 set.

Senior Sarah Melzer had a 134 average. Sophomore Catherine Trzaska had a 127 average.

Sacred Heart's JV won the regular season title.
