Planetarium show planned for night of lunar eclipse The Williamsville planetarium at North High School will present "The Shadowy Side of Astronomy" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. Director Mark Percy will start the evening by leading a tour of the night sky - constellations, planets and the moon. Along with the sky tour, three mythology stories produced by Williamsville North students will be presented. To prepare for the lunar eclipse, different types of shadowy occurrences in the sky will be explored, including details about the eclipse that will occur later that night starting at 8:43 p.m. If the weather permits, telescopic viewing outdoors will follow the planetarium shows. The Williamsville Space Lab Planetarium is located at 1595 Hopkins Road, Williamsville. For information, visit www. williamsvillek12. org/ planetarium. |
