Connie Mack Little League to hold open registration

Connie Mack Little League will be holding an open registration from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 at Dick's Sporting Goods, 281 Meyer Road, Amherst.

The registration deadline is March 1. You can access forms at www.conniemacklittleleague.com or call 834-2992.

Connie Mack's six fields are located at 94 Garnet Rd., right behind Duff's Restaurant off Millersport Hwy.

This year, registration dollars and sponsors helped to do a complete tear down and replacement turf of the second field at Garnet. Photos of the construction can be viewed at the league's Web site under their photo link.

To help in the development of all new players and returning players that advance to new levels of play, all your volunteer coaches and assistant coaches this year will be attending a coach's clinic. This clinic will help them develop their teams. This clinic will now be run every year.

Connie Mack also hosts an annual event called Connie Mack Day. It starts off with a parade of all the teams on the streets that surround the league's fields. The day is filled with food, games, a petting zoo, a bounce house, and a little scrimmage game. It is open not only to the players of Connie Mack, but also friends and family members.
