Titans break three records at Senior IMX meet

The Town of Tonawanda Titans competed in the Niagara District Senior IMX meet Jan. 26-27 in Webster.

Thirty-three Titan swimmers took part in the two-day meet. Titans athletes achieved 57 lifetime best swims and set three new club records.

Abigail MacDonald inspired swimming "AA" times in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and 200 individual medley. Kara Powalski swam enthralling swimming "AA" times in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Laura Savattieri dazzled by earning "A" times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, 200 IM and 50 free.

Christina Ruggiero was captivating with "A" times in the 200 and 400 IM. Kearsten Renzi stripped over five seconds from her 200 IM to achieve a new personal best time.

Erin Rogers soared to a new personal best "A" level time in the 200 free. Nicole Malkowski pursued excellence, swimming a new personal best 50 free time as the leadoff in the women's 200 free relay. Kristin Berg demonstrated her strength with a new personal best time in the 50 back. Jenny Rogers took charge in her six individual events and two relays. Caitlin Schwinge sparkled in her four events.
