Ethan Ruggierio scored late in the period. The Gold Sabres were anchored by goaltender Trevor Galante. The hustle award went to Trevor Kuntar and Nicholas Haas.

The Gray Sabres would not be denied. Alec Cicero scored a hat trick. Jarrett Lang and Ricky Pezzino also scored. Jordan Richheimer, DJ Reinard, Eric Karaszwewski, AJ Ferenczy, and Adam Willig played inspired hockey. Michael Wolf and Elias Dunkle each had an assist.

Goalie Liam Wojciechowski stood on his head to ensure the victory.
