Union girls post victories

Union College continued its winning ways with a 4-1 win on Jan. 25 over St. Lawrence.

Union's Emily Beauchamp (Rachel Farr) scored the first goal. St. Lawrence's Kathleen Ruggiero (Alex Colling) would tie the score 54 seconds later. Union's Sarah O'Brien (Emma Hubert) would take the lead.

Goalie Anna Quattro (Cornell filling in for St. Lawrence) and Union's Abbey Posner kept it close.

Emma Hubert (O'Brien) made it 3-1 in the third. Union's Brianna Stressinger (Beauchamp) scored her first of the season.

Union's Alicia Oswald played tough on the boards. St. Lawrence's Eleni Casseri and Erica Dombrowski played awesome.

Union 6, Burlington 1

The Canada-US Friendship Tournament started on Saturday with a 6-1 win from Union College over Burlington.

Union's Brianna Stressinger opened the scoring. Burlington's Jaclyn Chandler (Christine DaCosta) tied it in the second but Union's scoring would out do Burlington.

Union goals were scored by Sarah O'Brien (Becca Searns), Emily Keable, Emma Hubert (Alicia Oswald), Sarah O'Brien (second of the day), and Emily Beauchamp. Defense played extremely well.

Union goes to Burlington next weekend.
