East student to solo with GBYO

Di Loreto
The Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Gerard Floriano, will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 at Montante Cultural Center at Canisius College, Main and Eastwood streets in Buffalo.

Tickets will be available at the door. Adults are $10 and seniors and students are $5.

The Orchestra will feature two GBYO senior concerto winners Angelo Di Loreto, of East Amherst, on xylophone Di Loreto is a senior at Williamsville East High School and Mary Edge of Elma performing on the violin.

Di Loreto has participated in ECMEA All-County Band and Jazz Band, Area All-State and was an alternate for timpani and jazz piano for Conference All-State. He attends the Eastman School of Music's pre-college division. He will graduate from that program with honors.
