Meetings free tax help Buffalo State College is offering free tax preparation to students, community members and families of Erie County earning less than $40,000 per year. From now through April 15, fully trained preparers will be in the Bulger Communications Building 400 Lab on the campus, 1300 Elmwood Ave. Hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Individuals who wish to have their taxes prepared should bring photo identification, Social Security cards, wage and earning statements and, if available, a copy of last year's federal and state returns. Workshop set by HUD staff Niagara University's Office of Continuing and Community Education and ReNU Niagara Community Outreach Partnership Center, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will provide a series of free, professional workshops on nonprofit management from 4 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, March 18 in Dunleavy Hall, Room 127. The campus is located off Route 104 in Lewiston. The sessions are designed for nonprofit agencies, staff and board members, local residents and faith-based groups. Sales group seeks new members The Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives will sponsor a networking and membership event from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Sonoma Grill, 5010 Main St., Snyder. The cost is $10 per person. Those preregistering may bring a guest at no charge. The initiation fee of $100 will be waived for those joining at this event. Since 1942, the Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives has been devoted to professionalism in sales and marketing.
