Business News Weinberg Campus appointed Timothy A. McCooey to director of the Total Aging in Place Program, a Medicaid-managed long-term care program. He previously served as the vice president of Long-Term Care Operations for the Catholic Health System and has 25 years of executive experience in hospitals, nursing homes and health-care systems. Also, Martin Jackson was appointed Day Programs director. He oversees the operations of three campus adult day programs. He has more that 20 years of progressive healthcare leadership and management experience. The campus is located in Getzville. Sheryl Neal has recently joined Beechwood Continuing Care, located in Amherst, as its new director of social work. Neal, a native of Western New York, has recently returned to the area after living in Vermont and most recently in Albany. Connie Holovics, of RealtyUSA Amherst/Clarence office, has been awarded the Performance Management Network Designation by the Women's Council of Realtors. This council's mission is to empower women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Christina Schweitzer, director of business and program development for TripleTrack, recently earned the Work-Life Certified Professional designation from World at Work, a not-for-profit professional association that promotes work-life balance. She is the first professional in New York State and one of fewer than one dozen in the world to receive this designation. TripleTrack is a division of The Synergy Group, a work-life management and consulting firm based in Amherst. Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company's Buffalo Agency named these new members: Jeanne N. Dallas of Springville, Shawn C. Glogowski of North Tonawanda, Thomas Aaron Hofrichter of East Amherst, Amy Megna of Buffalo and Mark Lynett of Williamsville. Mass Mutual also has a location in Williamsville. Independent Health, located in Amherst, is a corporate member of the Rotary Club of Buffalo. The members are Frank Sava, director, community and public relations; Gretchen Morgante, director, broker sales; Carrie Meyer, executive director of Independent Health Foundation; and Chris Arnold, director, financial market relations. Univera Healthcare, located in Amherst, received the Outstanding Diversity Excellence Award from the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association on Jan. 16. The BNHRA recognizes excellence in the human resource profession, and the diversity award is presented based on an organization's demonstrated commitment to diversity. Allen Gworek will take over Pro Paint of WNY Inc., currently run by his father Joseph, a retired Amherst police detective. Gworek returned in 2004 from a tour of duty in Iraq. Pro Paint is a full-service painting and wallpapering company located in East Amherst. Fidelis Care, a nonprofit health plan with a location in Amherst, appointed Paul Iannello as a member services associate. He joins the organization from HSBC, where he worked in the Internet banking department. |
