.I do not understand why Amherst residents have not been alarmed by the town's failure to conduct a revaluation of all town parcels, causing market values of all properties to be increased, resulting in property tax increases for all residents of the town.

.I thought Dr. Mohan was for making government smaller. Why does he need a new, bigger town hall?

.Why is Dr. Mohan still voting on matters relating to issues involving UB, especially the Maple Road project? The state and the board of ethics have advised him not to. Ignoring this advice reflects poorly on him as supervisor of our town.

.New town hall? Save our money, supervisor. Do what we elected you to do, not build buildings.

.To the caller who was upset about the library making coffee available: the library is not offering it freely. The cost is $1 per cup. Do your teens have that many dollars that they are going to get wired on coffee at the library? If your teens are able to go to the library without supervision, then they most likely are able to go to other places where coffee is available without your supervision. If you do not like sitting next to someone drinking coffee, then move to another table; there are plenty of spaces available.

.To our neighbors on Edgewater, please stop. The driving and parking on the lawn, cars parked facing the wrong way, parties with numerous cars blocking the street, and now we have to look at your new vacation vehicle parked in the driveway, which blocks our view. Enough is enough; think about your neighbors and what you are doing to the neighborhood. Please be a better neighbor.

.I watched the cable coverage of the last town board meeting, and I was appalled. The supervisor and Shelley Schratz are mean-spirited and nasty. There were several comments the supervisor made under his breath that were just awful. I am disgusted with government in this town.

.Put a third floor on town hall. Plans are all done for that; let's save money.

.Congratulations to the City of Buffalo again for being number one over suburban locations for giving a $2 pay raise to their crossing guards effective Jan. 29, 2008. They deserve it, and they receive health insurance. I wish the crossing guards in the suburbs would get together and get the same type of pay raise.

.Regarding the comment about parking in the Willow Ridge area and why people are not ticketed, I live in Willow Ridge and there are not people parked illegally everywhere. There are cars in the street during the day (allowed by law), but there is not a rash of illegal parking in Willow Ridge.

.No new town hall. Let's reduce gover nment.

.I live on Maple Road, and I wonder why trash collectors always seem to throw the empty trash can in the middle of the driveway. It's very inconvenient stopping on Maple Road and pulling the garbage can out of the way. If they had any commonsense, they would put it on the side.
