Clarence Swim Club fares well at Gold JO meet

The Clarence Swim Club fared well at the Webster Gold JO swim meet Jan. 18-21 in Webster, N.Y.
Jeff Ahrens was sharp in breaststroke, placing first and third in the 50 and 100. Alex Holmwood swam strong, taking fourth in the 100 IM. John Lee took first, second or third in every event he swam. Lee achieved "AA" times in the 50 and 100 free and 50 and 100 back with Eastern Zone qualifying times in both backstroke events.
Victoria Butler dropped a total of 28.04 seconds. She was impressive in her "A" time second place in the 200 breast. Sarah DiMayo flew to "AA" time in her 50 fly and was strong in her IMs and 50 free. Kendra Mayer streamlined to "AA" times in 100, 200, and 400 IM; 50 back; and 100 fly and captured "AAA" in 50 fly and 50, 100 and 200 free with Eastern Zone qualifying times in the 100 and 200 free and the 200 free club record.
Sydney Modeas grabbed first in the 1,000 free and sped along in the 100 and 500 free and 100 IM. Dina Rommel stroked to "A" level in the 50 free and improved in 50 back. Christina Seminara shined in her impressive 50, 100 and 200 fly swims. Her third-place 50 was an "AAA" time; the 100, an "AA" time.
Swimming hard though injured, Claire Sucharski had a great race in the 100 breast. Dorotka Tou dropped an amazing 15.19 seconds in her "A" time 100 fly. Claire Willis dissolved an incredible 74.28 seconds total from previous meet times, garnering "A" times in the 200 and 400 IM, 100 free and back ,and "AA" in her 50 free. Her 200 free was a particularly impressive third-place "AA" performance.
